The Mission of the Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency is to provide a comprehensive emergency management program that coordinates personnel and resources in order to protect lives, property and the environment in Lawrence County, Ohio.  An all hazards approach of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery is used to avert or minimize the effects of an emergency or disaster.

The Lawrence County Emergency Management Agency is an active member of the Lawrence County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC). The members of the LEPC represent regulated facilities, Red Cross, EMS, amateur radio, fire departments, law enforcement, elected officials, schools, health department, environmental protection, and hospitals. 

We work closely with the LEPC, law enforcement, fire departments, the American Red Cross,Lawrence County Emergency Medical Service, the Lawrence County Health Department, elected officials and others to accomplish our mission.
