UK King’s Daughters (UKKD) is currently conducting their 2025 Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) to help better understand our area’s top health issues. Residents of Boyd, Carter and Greenup counties in Kentucky and Lawrence County, Ohio, were asked to complete the online CHNA survey at KingsDaughtersHealth.com and the hospital's social media sites.

The survey includes questions about access to primary care, health insurance coverage, transportation and use of emergency and urgent care treatment facilities. Participants were asked to identify the top health issues in their communities and the challenges individuals face in accessing healthcare services.

“The CHNA provides us with a look into the areas our community feels could use improvement,” said Diva Justice, R.D., director of Community Health. “It is an important tool for determining where we focus our community efforts for the next three years.”

To date, around 170 survey responses have been collected from Lawrence County, Ohio residents. As a community partner to UKKD, the Lawrence County Health Department is sharing these preliminary survey results with our Lawrence County community at large. We invite you to review this summary of the preliminary survey results and provide your comments or questions.
